Phil Canalin has been in public health finance for twenty-plus years, most recently for the noted Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless Program. He also loves to write fiction, short stories, poetry, and children’s stories. Phil resides in Alameda, CA with Sue, his high-school sweetheart and wife of 33 years. Daughters, Jessica and Kelsey, live in Hawaii and Southern California, respectively. Phil grew up loving Aesop’s Fables and The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show’s Fractured Fairy Tales and Aesop & Son. In his spare time, Phil loves fishing and spending time with family. Although officially retired from softball, rumor has it he can still whip out his bbq grill and his guitar at a moment's notice!
